Chaplin Tyler (she/her/hers) is a Miami based designer, model, and artist. Born and raised in Miami, Fl to a Thai mother and Irish-American father, she moved to New York City at the age of 18. After graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Menswear Design, Chaplin worked as a designer for brands such as Calvin Klein, Reebok, and DAMA. Her most recent work was a 2-year long project in which she collaborated with choreographer Pioneer Winter Collective on “Birds of Paradise” -an immersive theater dance piece that was commissioned by the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, in which she designed and styled all of the costuming and wardrobe. Chaplin has modeled for photographers Ethan James Green, Ryan McGinley, as well as for designer labels Patricia Fields, Vaquera NYC, Gauntlett Cheng, Barragan and Sally’s Beauty Supply. Her work has appeared in publications such as American Vogue, I-D, Dazed, Paradigm, and Wussy Magazine. Chaplin has performed and exhibited work at the Faena Forum, The Miami Beach Fillmore, El Museo Del Barrio, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, and Secret Project Robot Gallery.
